Featured Pottery at Tomorrow’s Exhibition

This stunning 6″ Catalina Pottery (Gladding McBean, c. 1940s) bud vase will be a featured item at tomorrow’s Billy Blue Eye exhibition at the Long Beach Antique Flea Market.  With its luxurious, creamy exterior and the contrapuntal turquoise interior, it will be a highlight of your collection.

Arcature Vase.#3

McCoy Pottery’s fabulous series of Arcature vases are known for their whimsical view of a bird in a cage.  This prime example is from 1951 and will be featured tomorrow at Billy Blue Eye’s exhibit at the Long Beach Antique Flea Market.  Look for us at Booth A853 (first row by the east parking lot.)

Billy Blue Eye, every third Sunday of the month at the Long Beach (California) Antique Flea Market on Conant Street (east of Lakewood Blvd.) at the Long Beach Veteran’s Stadium.   Hours are 7AM to 2PM, entrance fee is $5.00.

This lovely Zephyr Lily basket vase will be on exhibit and for sale at this week’s Billy Blue Eye Pottery / Long Beach Antique Flea Market, Sunday, November 15.

The Roseville Pottery drew on a variety of Art Movements, including Art Deco and Art Moderne.  In the instance of the Zephyr Lily pattern, one can discern the Art Deco/Moderne influences in the beautiful swirling pattern underlaying the floral motifs.

This vase and hundreds of examples of other 20th century potteries’ work will be on exhibit and for sale at Billy Blue Pottery.  We  can be found in Row A, booth 853 at the Long Beach Antique Flea Market this Sunday, November 15th from 6 AM to 2 PM.  Look for the green & white striped tent!  We look forward to helping you with your collection.

The Next Antique Flea Market

You can find Billy Blue Eye Pottery & Paintings on the third Sunday of each month at the Long Beach Antique & Collectible Market.  November’s date is the 15th.  It’s located at the Long Beach Veteran’s Stadium, Conant Street, just East of Lakewood Boulevard.  Hours are 6:30 AM to 2 PM, admission is $5.00.
