Red Wing Pottery, c.1940’s Double Candleholders 5.5″ x 3.75″ x 2.5″, Light Blue semi-gloss Glaze, Item #397, List Price $99.00, Super Special Price $69.00
SOLD!
Red Wing Pottery (1878-1967) of Red Wing, Minnesota began art pottery production in the 1920’s. Red Wing’s designers created items that were always evolving with the fashion of the day. Offered here is a pair of 1940s candleholders that together will hold four candles. The design offers a blending of floral stems rising from a leaf embossed base to the candle cups. They are finished in a soft pale blue semi gloss glaze finish. The glaze application is slightly uneven which is a 1940s production norm that does not detract from the beauty of the pair. They are both bottom incised (one extremely faint)”Red Wing 397.” (The mold number)
We sincerely hope that these two terrific ceramic items would make a wonderful gift for that special someone or maybe just an addition to your home and holiday table. If you have any questions you may e-mail us direct at BillyBlueEye@cox.net.
